Casual prejudice against white people based on their race can occur, especially in areas where another racial group makes up the majority. That still falls under the generic term "racism," but it's not the same as racism that's institutionalized in society. The system of power that American society is constructed on doesn't allow white people to experience the true extent of institutionalized racism. You get your feelings hurt, sure, but your quality of life isn't affected to the same degree as someone who faces institutionalized racism.
