Dear ATRLers, in a recent and fiery discussion with my beloved little monters, some opinions made me quite intrigued. Do you think the use drugs (no matter what they are and how heavy they are) it's OK?
So, what are your thoughts on this subject? Do you like drugs? Do you think they're cool?
I think drugs are fine as long as they're used in moderation & the person in question has the mental capacity to handle them + no children to endanger.
Nothing wrong with them as long as you use responsibly. And yes, you can use responsibly, I would know.
Furthermore, the argument you made that drugs are immoral because they are illegal is not true. In several countries marijuana is legalized. So is it supposed to be immoral if you do it somewhere it's illegal but not in countries it is legal? And the majority of americans have experimented with pot. So it's not viewed as a bad thing by the majority of people.
Finally, drugs are not cool. They aren't uncool. They are what they are.
I dont see why anyone would do drugs? I mean what for? I dont think they are cool but if someone wants to do drugs then let them I could careless but then maybe they get too addicted and become poor and try to steal,kill for drugs then it becomes a problem
Before anyone attempts to do drugs, they know right from wrong... and they know what drugs can do and if they still choose to partake in those recreational activities, then I have less sympathy for them -- it's their decision. That being said, ANY drug should not be taken lightly, because even the "lightest" of substances, can open a "gateway" for said individual... causing them to want to experiment with more and more substances, leading to an addiction. It's best to avoid temptation all together.

You can apply the exact same argument to alcohol, except alcohol is more addictive and has a greater potential for harm than other drugs like pot.
Not saying you'd disagree, just putting that out there.

Drug use, like anything else, is to each their own.
I think all drugs should be legal.
They're all accessible anyways, so why not help the economy? Besides, is this not a free country?
No, using illegal drugs is never ok. Neither is abusing drugs that are not prescribed to you.
