Let's start things off with my favorite videos of the year.
Top 15 Videos
15. Ayumi Hamasaki-BLUEBIRD
http://youtube.com/watch?v=UMzOSXRfH3A
Sure, this is very very similar to last year's "Fairyland," and sure Ayumi probably has better videos this year, but for some reason I really liked this one. The scenery is amazing and unless Ayumi is a great actress, you can tell that she had a great time filming this video. The happy nature of the video is probably enough to cheer you up anytime you watch it.
14. Paulina Rubio-Ni Una Sola Palabra
http://youtube.com/watch?v=lCSTULqmmYE
Paulina + Gold Super Hero Outfit and Cape + Fighting Sequences ripped right out of some 70's action movie = This video.
Now, I don't know if it was Paulina's (or the video's director) intention to make such a corny video, but they definitely succeeded. Now, it's not bad corny really, it's an entertaining video and at least it makes me laugh.
13. Pink-Stupid Girls
http://youtube.com/watch?v=53YIGn32JrQ
Ah, you gotta love Pink's take on modern pop culture, from her parodying Lindsay Lohan's awful driving skills to her portrayal as Paris in "One Night In Paris," this video is chock full of parodies. Not just any parody though, Pink actually does a good job impersonating these people.
12. Dixie Chicks-Not Ready To Make Nice
http://youtube.com/watch?v=fwc5YSAc-7g
The first time I saw the video, I was confused. Hell, I watch the video now and I'm still confused. I read it was supposed to be their take on "The Crucible," though I really don't see it. Regardless, the video is awesome, lot's of cool visuals and awesome cinematography.
11. Christina Aguilera-Hurt
http://youtube.com/watch?v=lbcltLf2VHo
Cliche storyline...check. Over the top acting...check.
So what exactly makes this video special? I really don't know. Even though it's obvious that Christina's acting in this is really forced, This video still has something real and unique to it. I thought the circus themed video wasn't going to work with the song, but I was wrong. I'm glad they did what they did.
