45. IGGY AZALEA ft. CHARLI XCX - FANCY
The New Classic // 17 February, 2014
Who dat who dat? I-G-G-Y and her biggest hit yet of course. But it's not Iggy's rapping that caught my attention but the ultra catchy chorus provided by the one and only Charli XCX. And let's be real here, 'Fancy' wouldn't have smashed so hard if it hadn't been for Charli's contribution.
44. NE-YO ft. JEEZY - MONEY CAN'T BUY
Non-Fiction // 26 May, 2014
I remember being a crazy Ne-Yo fan back in 2007-2008 but his efforts ever since have only disappointed me to say the least. He quickly changed direction in order to stay relevent and that's when the quality of his music went downhill. With 'Money Can't Buy' he returned to what he does best - R'n'B and thus revived my interest in his music.
43. JENNIFER LOPEZ ft. IGGY AZALEA - BOOTY
A.K.A. // 23 September, 2014
The most successful single off JLo's 10th album 'A.K.A.' is what JLo needed to revive her career (along with Iggy's intervention) even though I was not really impressed with the overall sound of the song which was a deviation from the R'n'B vibe that the album had. 3 more JLo songs found their way onto my chart so stay tuned for more.
42. NICKI MINAJ ft. DRAKE, LIL WAYNE & CHRIS BROWN - ONLY
The Pinkprint // 28 October, 2014
The three fellas that appear on this one never managed to impress me but this time they delivered (at least Chris Brown did). Nicki's part was too short and it seemed like she was the feature artist instead of the main one. All in all however, 'Only' is still such a bop.
41. SELENA GOMEZ - THE HEART WANTS WHAT IT WANTS
For You // 6 November, 2014
Despite Selena's multiple attempts to sound mature she has always failed to deliver except for this time. 'The Heart Wants What It Wants' serves as a nice little reminder that the Disney princess is all grown up this time and is ready to take us all by storm.
