At first it did but after listening to it a few times, it grew on me. Just imagine what the full tracks can do.
Although I do have to agree that it isn't that hard-hitting and smash-filled like Teenage Dream but isn't this what people wanted her to do in the first place? Make more mature songs, try not to replicate her previous efforts and recreate her sound?
Absolutely. After TD, I expected another album full of catchy songs but it seems like PRISM will have the traditional trajectory of a normal album. Nowhere close to TD success.
I expected bigger slayage with all the hype from her team, her, the critics that heard the album... but It's still better than TD .. I can't say I am dissapointed since I don't stan for katy I love By the grace of god .. and Unconditionally will probably slay although It's not that special at all (doesn't live up to the hype) .. I guess I have to vote for the 3rd option (of course you can't compare 12sec snippet but anyway )
Honestly? Yes. I was hoping for a lot of bops after hearing WoA and DH, but there is a lot of filter in the album. I do think once the album comes out in full that I'll be in love.
