The Swedish super producer Nadir "RedOne" KHAYAT, 39, is in Stockholm to write songs to include Rihanna.
- Here I make songs of peace, he says.
Lady Gaga. Michael Jackson. Enrique Iglesias. Jennifer Lopez. Usher. Backstreet Boys. The list of artists who emigrated to the Swedish super-producer RedOne worked with can be made longer. Nöjesbladet got an exclusive interview with him at the studio on Östermalmstorg in Stockholm where he is currently writing new songs for, among others, Rihanna and Kylie Minogue.
- To write an incredibly good song for Rihanna, one must know who she is, what she has to "flow" and register. It should fit exactly. It is not enough to write a song and be happy now. You have to analyze, says RedOne.
many Talents equally
He has been in Sweden for some weeks now, and filing of the songs that he hopes will be the global successes. Possibly, he manages to attract both Rihanna and Kylie Minogue.
- Maybe. Or I get to fly somewhere to record. Kylie Minogue might. It depends on his tours, he says.
RedOne have high hopes for Sweden and Swedish music. One of his findings is 23-year-old Mohombi. And although the Love Generation, only reached second chance in the contest, he will continue working with the girl band.
- Of course. And I will give them hits, he says.
- There are so many talents in Sweden who do not get the chance. For me it is a mission in life to spread the Swedish artists in the world, he continues.

He better give the queen a flawless production, & bring it to the level he does with Lady GaGa. I'm not here for Enrique Iglesias & Jennifer Lopez throwaways.

I told y'all QUIET is really turning out to be Rihanna's most generic album yet... but if produces something flawless and ORIGINAL then I'm all the way here for it.

No no no NO NOOO!!!!
He is the WORST producer EVER! Along with Dr Luke, he is just HORRIBLE!
Everything is RECYCLED, and everything has the SAME melody, the SAME instruments, the SAME beat. I am NOT here for that.
No Rihanna.

He's good with the right material/subject matter, unlike what Gaga gave him to work w/ on BTW. That's so not suited for him. He's here for the simple club jams.

He will have to step up & PUNCH for queen, or he will continue to see his collaborators disappear, seeing as GaGa & him may have had some "thorough disagreements". Losing GaGa & Rihanna as collaborators sure looks bad on a resume.
His stuff on Born This Way is amazing, it better be a production on that level, as long as it more than what he's given other artists.

I agree I'm a little bit worried. I'm not here for reject songs but hopefully well get a song up to par with Bad Romance.

Why are Rihanna stans complaining about recycled as if her sound is notably distinctive this era?

RedOne >>>> Dr. Luke. Just my preference. Even On the Floor's production is better to me than a lot of Dr. Luke's stuff.
The only RedOne production I was ever disappointed or annoyed with was I Like It. That song annoyed me by the time radio overplayed it.
If he works with someone like Rihanna though, he needs to take it to the next level.

I agree but Rihanna is taking a 50/50 chance. It could turn out to be either something as horrible as Hair or amazing as Judas.

why are people using the same producers now a days? sometimes what works for one artist doesnt work for another, so this could either be good or bad

I just don't need RedOne producing something like Poker Face or Bad Romance for Rihanna. I want him giving her second rate songs . Well only because Gaga has his best songs, and I want it to stay that way
