Flowers does it again

One week before the much anticipated release of Brandon Flowers' new album The Desired Effect, the Las Vegas crooner continues to dominate the singles chart. Lonely Town only lost 7 spins in comparison to last week and grabs the record for the second highest number of spins, pushing Infinity's debut number of last week down to #3 on the YTD records list. However, his new single I Can Change isn't much less legendary, bowing in at #2 with an outstanding 163 scrobbles in its own rights. Over on the album's chart, Mumford & Sons grab their third career #1 album with Wilder Mind while Josh Groban and Blur more than doubled their debuting numbers in week 2. At this time next week, The Desired Effect will be upon us and if Brandon's current success is any indication, this album will become the most scrobbled album during a 7 days rolling period, establishing unheard-of records along the way.

German Raop king Cro debuts atop the singles and albums chart this week, becoming one of those rare German artists to complete the Double. Before him, Mark Forster was the latest German Artist to achieve this milestone earlier this year. While Cro explodes, Mengoni stablizes. With two previously un-charted albums from his catalogue, the Italian megastar is once again named the overall most scrobbled artist of the week.
