many kids know of Wizard Of Oz, but they wouldnt know the name of the actress in it. Youre comparing the success of the movie to the success of Madonna, and the movie success isnt based on any one performer.
this is like saying Leonardo DiCaprio is more iconic than the beatles because he was in the top grossing movie of all time, when that is simply laughable. Movie success is based on more than just the actor/actresses in it.
seriously people who arent into the whole hollywood thing dont even know who Judy Garland is,especially kids.
When will people realize that Madonna is THE most iconic female of all time? I am sure many people haven't even heard of Judy, and there is no child, parent or grandma who doesn't know about Madonna. That is just the way it is, deal with reality.
