Is FInal Fantasy 15 the biggest disappointment ever?
10 years of development just to end up with an unfinished game riddled with: plot holes, incredibly bad pacing (Chapter 13 is a literal disaster in gaming), boring fetch quests, easy, uninteractive combat, ****** ending, lack of content that can be finished in less than 40 hours?

Yes, Tabata is a hack, XV is a bigger stain on the Final Fantasy franchise than the XIII trilogy and XIV 1.0
Anyone who defends it is delusional from the hype

They lost me with X. XII was okay, though.

I disagRIH, X was great, loved XII too
OT: Yes it was disappointing but a bit better than the disaster that was XIII

"A game for fans and first timers"
And you're so right, at least FFXIII didn't have 10 years worth of hype and development. Playing this game after playing Witcher 3 and Bloodborne is just...I should have played Tetris.

Yeah, it was not good.
They need to let Ito direct another game

I'm sure a year from now it'll be excellent (once they've added the DLC episodes and patched in more cut scenes and story) but as of right now, it just isn't that great. Granted, it's a hell of a lot of fun and the ending was touching.
Lightning always wins.

No, because it was expected. People had such an idealized vision of the game, but after so many changes, interruptions, difficulties etc during its development it was pretty clear that the game was going to suffer. And Tabata just did his best to join every piece he had into a game so Square wouldnt lose all the money invested in the game, rushing the development and creating a game that is just skin and bones

I honestly didn't feel a thing for any characters. Like how'd they get away with this awful story line...
I enjoyed it for the most part though
Also mages are kind of my favorite aspects of the series and that doesn't even exist here

No. The story was a little bit too short but other than that, I enjoyed the game. FF fans are always extra. It's getting tiring.

OT: It was obvious XV would be a disappointment with all the demos, development hell, delays, etc. Plus the awful state of Square-Enix these days.
Zero Time Dilemma was the biggest gaming disappointment for me. I guess some stories are better left unfinished.

Y'all do far, far too much on this game.
Nomura destroyed the game with six years, Tabata patched it together and put it out the door in three. Haters can seethe, it's a flawed but incredibly fun game.
Anyone who thinks FFXIII is better than X, XII, or XV needs to have a long look in the mirror and re-think their life choices. XIII needed three games to be able to salvage that rotted corpse.

No, I was left with very few complaints and most of those were minor annoyances at worst.

I worded that horribly. I meant X was the last FF I loved. One of my favorite games EVER.

Am I the only one who thinks the Lightning saga only got worse with each release? The premise in FFXIII was good, it could have been an epic story and i loved the falīcie līcie concept, but by the time Lighting Returns was released i couldnt even keep up with all the time traveling BS

It was truly a reverse XIII. Good first half, tragic second half
Can't wait for the inevitable sequel that somehow screws the plot.
