Black Crowe’s frontman Chris Robinson doesn’t like packaged artists, especially one in particular. Taylor Swift has gotten a lot of praise for voice, but according to Robinson, the “country” singer isn’t as good as some people might think.

Honestly, I agree with Robinson. Although the way he said it was kind of rude, the man isn’t lying. Taylor sucks live, and her studio recordings are all altered. And in my opinion, she isn’t even a true country singer, it’s just her image that has a country “kick” to it. Not to mention that all her songs sound exactly the same. Her new single, “Mine”, sounds like a leftover track from her last album.

This girl receives so much hate, yet there are far worse out there. Taylor is not the most talented singer, but she most certainly has more talent than some of the stuff that's topping the charts.

I agree with him.
She has limited vocal ability, sings about the same thing over and over (even though she's 20, not 14) and the production is very same-y.
It seems like ever since the Kanye incident NO ONE is allowed to say anything negative about her.
But I guess she has cute ringlets and can sort of play the guitar so it's all ok But she sells records so obviously for now it's working for her...

She has time to grow.

You don't how much a stretch that is. Taylor Swift is a country-pop product, literally. And she feeds into it with her label. She hasn't changed at all in 2 albums, and with "Mine" she hasn't changed with this one.

And as far as I'm concerned, the only person that's topped the chart recently that isn't any better than her was Taio Cruz back in the Spring. Otherwise she is definitely not "more talented" than Usher, Rihanna, Katy, and Eminem. Her writing about fairytales for the last 4 years, terrible live singing, and same-old guitar strings ≠ more talent than them.
