We obviously live in a heteronormative society, but do you think one day 'coming out' won't be a big deal and being gay will be considered normal like heterosexuality?
Some day, soon hopefully. I look at my 5 year-old niece and her generation and think that by the time they reach adulthood homosexuality will be a lot less taboo.
Yeah its a gradual thing. I mean now its already becoming acceptable exponentially. I live in the country and even here they dint care anymore. Closer to being considered normal.. its just like any other civil issues in the past.
As time goes on, the number of homophobes will go down and the number of people who have no problem with homosexuality will go up. I don't think homophobia will ever be completely squashed out though, humans are just judgmental and that's the way it's always going to be. It'll only get better from here though is what I believe.
For some reason, I see the future being entirely bisexuals it could be explained by overpopulation really, we would have a natural attraction for both genders and we can reproduce if we date the opposite gender.
I doubt homophobia will ever been completely eradicated though. I mean, racism still exists. Granted, it is not as bad as it was but it is still there in all its sh*tty glory.
However, I do think that it will be increasingly accepted, and there will be less and less negative attention devoted to sexuality in general.
