why can Beyonce and Pink still sell 1M of an album?
Why are Beyonce and Pink the only female artists of their generation that can still sell over 1M WW of their albums. They can still sell 1M of their albums in just the US. Why is this so?
But P!nk's last album was released in 2012. Don't act like she's gonna have another 6M seller in this climate especially if her next album doesn't have a JGMAR-sized hit. And if Beyoncé didn't surprise release it probably wouldn't have gone platinum.
Edit: actually I know it wouldn't! There were no real hits to push it there and no buzz around it aside from the release
I think what helps drive their sales is that they are generally known to release acclaimed music.

Both are sublime artists who stayed true to themselves, but also knew exactly how to develop themselves throughout the years. Which also build a very loyal fanbase for both.
Because they are both talented so they have the substance to hold their fans as their fans grow older but they still appeal to a younger market also. Boybands often lose relevance when teens become adults whereas Pink and Beyonce fans can still relate to their music as they have matured with their faves.

But 4 went platinum. Which brings us back to the OPs point BOTH Pink & Beyonce can still sell over 1M

Even without the 3 days of surprise release, her album will still be Platinum

So what you're saying is that Beyonce and Pink next albums will sell less than BJ and Bionic etc.?

Because they actually care about their career and music. They both put amazing effort into their music and performances. Cannot say the same about Britney and Xtina and many others
