It's not like Wikipedia chooses the pics. The ones available, that means the ones made by contributor which decides to upload it on WP are used to illustrate a subject. I'm a WP contributor and if everybody who takes photos of his faves would take the time to upload them on WP we won't have crappy photos anymore
