Chad's Top 40 Singles Of 2006
I wasn't going to do one, but I gave in.
40. Three Days Grace - Animal I Have Become
I was never a super big fan of 3DG, but this track really got me. From the awesome rift that opens the song to the crazy chorus, this track is a great one. I never overplayed it too much, so this track is still fresh to me everytime I hear it!

39. All American Rejects - Move Along
Wow, this was pretty much my favorite unreleased track of 2005. Now that it was released I may have played it a little too much, but it still gets me. The hyper catchy chorus tot his track is one that no one can ever get out of their head. The video was cool too. AAR are defiantly one of the top bands from 2006.
38. Flyleaf - I'm So Sick
This song didn't warm up to me until I bought their album. Now this song is up there with the best of them. Lacey really knows how to sing so over the top that it's awesome. Her screams come so unexpected at a first listen, but with such anticipation during other listens. This is truly a top track of 06.

37. Cascada - Everytime We Touch (Candlelight Mix)
As a dance song I can't stand it. But as a ballad this song is amazing. The candlelight mix almost brings me to tears with how raw and emotional her voice sounds on it. I wish this is the version that everyone got to hear. I absolutely love it.
36. Ciara - Promise
What on earth has happened when Ciara can produce vocals that are more than just her speaking in rhythm. The opening alone can bring tears to your eyes. Ciara sings this track with passion, and actually proves she has somewhat of a range. The video's simplicity adds to the unique style of Promise. Easily one of Ciara's best.

35. Heather Headley - In My Mind
One of my more unexpected favorites. I hadn't given Heather much attention until this song. The lyrics are great and the music is just about haunting. Her voice is near perfection here, especially when she belts out towards the end. A great R&b ballad, one of my faves of 2006.
34. Ludacris & Mary J Blige - Runaway Love
One of the more heart wrenching songs of the year. I never thought I'd like a song by Ludacris this much. Between the melody, the lyrics, and Mary J's amazing voice, there is just no going wrong with this song. I hope to hear more songs like this in 2006.

33. JoJo - Too Little Too Late
This could of probably made the top 10 had it not been so overplayed. This song comes straight out at you with a crazy beat and shows that JoJo is not the little teeny bopper girl she used to be. This song has straight up soul, and the high notes still amaze me. I really hope JoJo continues to make strong music. This is easily a top track of 06.
32. Ashlee Simpson - Invisible
All right, get all of the laughs out of your system. This song really proved to me that Ashlee Simpson will be in the business for a while. Her ever annoying voice sounds good on this track, she actually expands her range a bit as well. The video was great as well, very artistic and uplifting. Not to mention she looked the best she ever has in it. This is easily a top track of 06 for me.

31. Ashley Parker Angel - Let U Go
His show annoyed me, he and his pregnant girlfriend annoyed me as well. But when it came to his music he proved me wrong. This song is undeniably catchy with a great rock beat to it. He sings most of it in a low tone but pumps it up for the choruses, I love that. The video was so-so, but the song is amazing. An easy choice for the top 40.
30. Stefy - Chelsea
Lmao, this song is just amazing. It's beat practically samples "Sweet Dreams" and can come across as a generic dance track. But this song has something to it, the lead singer has something about her that makes the track great. She doesn't show off her vocals but still makes the song so crazy catchy. I wish more people paid attention to this song and Stefy as a whole. One of my choice summer tracks and a top 06 song for me.

29. The Pussycat Dolls - Beep
This song really deserved more than what it got. Sure it was a hit, but it should have been just as big as their other 3 hits. The fact that Nicole shuts her mouth and allows Carmit & Melody to contribute to the track is reason enough for me to like it. I really love the song and the whole concept of the *Beep*.
28. All American Rejects - It Ends Tonight
The second song for AAR to make the list. This song really gets me. I've known it since Summer 2005, but it wasn't a single until this past fall. I'm glad they released such an emotional track that has such good lyrics. Tyson hits notes that no man should and they sound great. A great single of 2006.

27. Danity Kane - Ride 4 U
I knew these girls had it in them to make a really good song. This is pretty much their best song, no question. Their voices sound great and it doesn't seem like any member is trying to out-do the others like some other girl groups. *Cough*Destiny's Child*Cough* I really love this track, the video was great too. Hopefully these girls don't follow O-Town's path.
26. Cobra Starship - Snakes On A Plane
What did we do to deserve such an insanely catchy song? This song brings together some of alternative rock's best singers together to make an ode to one of the years most effed up movies. Lead singers from The Sounds, The Academy Is, and Gym Class Heroes make this a group effort. The video was just as good. One of my summer jams.

25. Ryan Cabrera - I Will Remember You
Oh wow, Mr. Cabrera never fails to pump out a awesome love song. This track makes me so sad, you can just hear the emotion on this one. It wasn't an official single, but it did get released. I really wish he would of made a video to this one, this had all of the makings to be a big hit for him.
24. Fergie - London Bridge
I didn't want to like it. I tried not to like it. I LOVED it! I don't care what you people say. This is one mindlessly catchy hit that deserved all the success it got. Fergie's got tons of talent, does she show it off here? eh Maybe. But it's the beats and just freakishly catchy chorus that slaps you in the face and makes you beg for more. The Dutchess is here to stay!

23. Christina Milian - Gonna Tell Everybody
This is where the list gets hard. Ms. Milian gave us one of the most underrated albums of the year, and it only produced one hit. This was not it, but it is still one of Christina's greatest songs. She gives off emotion and shows she really should be a superstar with a song like this, but no, untalented *****s like Cassie and Rihanna get all the attention.
22. Lillix - Sweet Temptation
One of the most hyperactive and crazy songs I've ever heard. Lillix deserve way more recognition than they've been given. This song proves that this group has it going on. The simple video and retro style makes it jump out at you. I want the album NOW! Sweet Temptation is an easy pick for this list.

21. Saving Jane - Happy
Screw Girl Next Door, this song is where it's at. I am still in awe that this song didn't get any recognition by anyone, AT ALL. The beat, the lyrics, the voice, its all so amazing! Why was this song not a hit? I'll never know. All I know is that this is a great song that will prove that Saving Jane is a great band, to the contrary of what anybody may say. Cuz we all know anybody that bashes Saving Jane has only heard "Girl Next Door."
20. Anna Nalick - In The Rough
Oh wow, Anna Nalick really deserved #1 on Billboard with a song like this. This song was defiantly snubbed by everyone. The chorus is amazing, the music is haunting, the girl has got it! The video also shows that Anna should be a superstar, rather than one of those "You Oughta Know" artists. Her model looks and great voice make the video amazing, a top song of 2006 without a doubt.

Well, let's see the...
Top 10 Horror Movies Of 2006
Close Calls
13. When A Stranger Calls - Katie Cassidy owns.
12. The Grudge 2 - Decent sequel.
11. Saw 3 - Good movie, but should stop here.
11. Pulse - I thought this was a fun little movie, good acting from Kristen Bell and Christina Milian.
10. Silent Hill - A sleek, depressing yet creative movie that leaves you wondering.
09. The Return - A thriller at it's finest. SMG does it again and makes a movie that makes you say "OH, I get it Now!"
08. Hostel - Oh wow, an nudity powered gorefest that makes you cringe.
07. The Hills Have Eyes - A very well crafted remake with great scares and very good actors.

06. Stay Alive - I don't care what anyone says, this was a great movie with solid acting and decent in-theater scares.
05. Final Destination 3 - Probably the best of the series. The entire movie is filled with top-notch up and comers.
04. See No Evil - This is pretty much a slasher that goes back to basics. I really loved this movie.
03. Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning - Even better than the remake. Jordana Brewster and her co-stars are great. The ending made me go "NOOO!" and I loved all of it.
02. Black Christmas - Hilariously over the top. Not everyone will get with it but I LOVED it! The acting is great. The entire movie is great, the last 20 minutes especially.
01. The Descent - Really not much more to say. It was easily the best movie of the year. It gave true scares and had character development to top it off. Pretty freaking amazing movie.

19. Keshia Chante - Been Gone
Who is this girl and where did she come from? This amazing track hit me out of no where. Apparently this gorgeous girl is releasing singles like crazy in Canada. This was the first single off of her sophomore album and all I can say is wow. This girl has looks and a voice. This song has style to it, it's not easy to describe. Hopefully she hits the US soon.
18. Fefe Dobson - This Is My Life
Wow, 2 Canadians in one post. Fefe is probably not releasing Sunday Love, but this song is still amazing. Fefe has hardly ever made a less than great track and this is no exception. It deserved to be huge, but I only heard it on the radio once. Fefe puts her soul in this one and it's catchy as hell. Defiantly a top track.

17. Head Automatica - Graduation Day
I don't know if I've ever heard a more upbeat song. This was my spring jam, it makes you just wish you were at your graduation so you can jam to it. The video is really what brings it all together, I love it. Showing the people's futures and how much they're gonna change. An easy pick.
16. Kaci Brown - Instigator
Kaci Brown shows she is a schizophrenic when it comes to her music. You don't often see people go from Piano based pop ballads to R&B dance tracks within just one album. Kaci has a great voice and this song is just catchy as hell. The video was hot too, Kaci looked great. I really predicted this song to do better than it did, but oh well. It's still a top track to me.
