Carly Rae Jepsen has been super-busy since releasing E•MO•TION last year, apparently already toiling away at the follow-up. And today, she was hanging out at a Nashville studio with PC Music’s Danny L Harle and songwriter Nate Company.
This is big news because, well, if CRJ is there with her writing pal in tow, then it’s not a stretch to think she’s working on her own new material with Harle. Tapping into the British future-pop collective would be an interesting changeup following the pristine retro radio sound of her last album.
Harle is the first PC Music producer to release a proper commercial project, with his Broken Flowers EP dropping last year after the label partnered with Columbia.
We’ve reached out to Jepsen and Harle’s reps for comment.
Bye. This is the best thing she could ever do along with working with some J-Pop producers, I am so here for this
Sigh
If she really wants that bubblegum sounds, at least work with Nakata Yasutaka
I'm not here for some cheap-sounding bubblegum, heck even Aqua and SAW works are far better than PC Music

Nakata Yasukata would be amazing. I think the perfect album at this point would be him + Erik Lidbom (E-Girls' Diamond Only, Alexandra Stan's Cherry Pop, SNSD's Catch Me If You Can) + PC Music.
