Release a song as single is still a big event?
Six or five years ago, fans would fight choosing which song should become a single and how to handle an album. Releasing a song as single was a big event because that used to mean a music video, performing on TV/Awards and being played in the radio. Nowadays, people don't care about which song is playing on the radio because streaming is new thing. Any promo single or random song can get a low budget music video. It seems like only lead singles are still highly anticipeded.
What do you think? Is the OP full of hot tea? Should we blame Beyoncé and ha game-changing surprise release??
