So I haven't seen a thread on Can't Remember To Forget You's underperformance which is kinda weird since we have threads about Gaga flopping every few hours so I thought that I'd be nice & make one.
- Why is this song already out of the top 20 on iTunes in the USA?
- Why did this song fail to go #1 in less countries on iTunes than Roar, Applause & Work Bitch?
- We've been repeatedly told how Shakira and Rihanna are super duper global, especially in Europe, yet the song failed to go #1 on iTunes in major countries like France, Germany & the UK?

I think people overestimate people "globalness" on ATRL. If your music isn't that good, it will flop, sometimes regardless of who you are. Simple as that.
Because it's a bad song, no matter how global and powerful they are, if the song is bad, it will flop. End of story
Once again: then how did Work Bitch, also considered a bad song by many, go #1 in more countries on iTunes? Lots of bad songs can make it to #1 through hype. Appears there wasn't much for Shaki & Rih, I guess.
