Over 150 of our New York talent were contacted to be extras in an upcoming music video for UK sensation and X-Factor judge Gary Barlow!
Gary Barlow is the lead singer of the British boy band Take That. He was approached by manager Nigel Martin-Smith at the age of just 19 to front Take That. Between the period of 1990-1996, Take That had eight UK number one hits and too many top ten singles to count; the vast majority of which were written by Gary himself including the worldwide smash hit "Back For Good" which reached number one in thirty-one countries and peaked at number seven on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100 Singles chart. Sadly, in 1996 Take That hung up their dancing shoes and put down the microphones.
After embarking on a successful short-term solo career, Gary pulled away from the limelight and turned his talents back to songwriting and producing. He wrote songs for Delta Goodrem, Donny Osmond, Atomic Kitten and even Charlotte Church. Gary further cemented his reputation as a songwriter through collaborations with the likes of Christina Aguilera and Sir Elton John.
In 2005, Take That reunited. They went on to have continued success, breaking records with hit albums and tour ticket sales. Tickets for the their show Take That Present: The Circus Live tour sold over one million tickets in just five hours! In 2011, the Take That Progress tour consisted of an unprecedented eight sold-out nights at Wembley Stadium and the album of the same name is the second fastest selling album of all-time in UK chart history. Gary has won many awards, including 5 Ivor Novellos. In 2011 Gary joined the 'X Factor' panel of judges in the UK version of the hit reality show and, as you would expect, is the head judge!
Our OST talent are on set today shooting the music video for his soon to be released next smash hit! Some of our talent have even been bumped up to featured spots and the director of this music video took home an MTV VMA this week! Very exciting and we wish all our talent well.
