In the 2010s decade so far, Rihanna released 3 studio albums which sold around 13.5 million copies cumulatively and yielded six number one singles while Katy Perry released 2 studio albums which sold around 9 million copies cumulatively and yielded eight number one singles.
They have both toured at least once, received several wards, good reception from critics, are YouTube forces and further consolidated their image in the music industry.
Taking into account all these factors and more as well as without ridiculously inflating their 2010s record sales (which take into consideration both albums and singles sales), which one is the more successful artist of the 2010s decade so far?
Loud and Teenage Dream were both huge era and their other era's (although Katy has only had one other era) were smaller but still produced successful albums and huge worldwide hits.
