I'll start with Madge
Madonna was literally killing everyone left and right in the 80s. Like, she was the music industry back in the day. I mean, she's still a legend, and remains the first mainstream act to ever go full indie for an entire decade (the 90s <3 ) but like, back in the 80s literally NO ONE was in her lane, and she had just begun. The looks, the pop hooks, the suggestive lyrics, the powerful fashion, the controversial visuals, wooooo LORD, all of them were ICONIQUE. She already KNEW she was gonna be the biggest things on the planet, she just KNEW. The bitch KNEW. I'm LIVING for those 80s synths and beats, and her doll voice, and her PERFECT, FLAWFREE aesthetics. She told the world to take a HOLIDAY, and omfg that started it all. After that she begged her father not to preach, and she asked us to open our hearts and we did, because SHE asked. She even taught the average American some Spanish. Then she told the gays to VOGUE, and she became a Queen forever. Literally TRUE BLUE is a LEGENDARY album, and the fact that OVER 25 MILLION PEOPLE own it makes it even more legendary. Damn, she WON. Madonna WON. She WON before anyone else. The only other important people from the 80s were Michael and Prince, and they are both dead (may the rest in peace, btw, legends too). Oh! and there was Cindy, but Madonna kinda destroyed her (Girls Just Wanna Have Fun is still a classic and Time After Time is literally the best prom song in existence). Madonna survived fame. She owned the world for decades and she's still alive, and radiant, and winning, and still making music, and directing music, and being a legend every time she breathes <3 <3
