On Sunday, Katy Perry opened the show, which would be the death spot if this was any of those three shows. Miley Cyrus closed it, which is basically the pimp spot, and her performance has been talked about on media more than the other performances (GaGa's unicorn stole away from her own performance in all honesty).

So does the death spot and pimp spot apply to award shows as well and are they just as important for promo?
