According to CBS affiliate THV11, Arkansas police recently clocked the Brinkley Police Department chief driving 107 mph in his personal truck. An officer asked a state trooper to help pull the truck over, only to walk up and recognize the boss. They laughed it off, and THV11 reports that they didn’t give him a ticket.
I once got pulled over going 70 on a 55 mph open road. The cop asked me, "why did I catch you going 15 mph over the speed limit?" I replied, "because by the time I saw you I only had enough time to slow down so much. I was going faster." He laughed and said he liked my honesty and then let me go with a verbal warning

Its also not cool to speed and endanger lifes around you.
I understand speeding to a certain extent. We've all done it. But 62 miles over the speed limit? He is so lucky he didn't hit anyone. He surely would have been pulverized, along with whoever he hits, by the impact. I think it's unfair that he was allowed to get away with this. At least suspend him and have it on his record.
