Yesterday, I made a post stating that, after six years,
the Year-End Crazy Ambition was no more. Part of this was because I felt like it was finally time for a change, but another reason was because I felt that, with the banner that I was attempting to use, I simply couldn't fit the YECA name into my banner. I fully believed that the YECA was dead.
And then, Athens came through at the last moment.
You see, besides being one of your dutiful ATRL administrators, Athens is, by far, the best graphics person on ATRL. There's a reason why people actually felt disappointed when they missed out on the opportunity to gain his graphic services for this very event: He's REALLY ****ing good at it. Long story short, after I made that post I was referring to earlier, Athens created both a generic version of a banner that was part of my graphics template...and a YECA version. I had a decision to make. Do I go with my heart and continue doing the YECA, or do I stick with my original plan and rename my year-ender to the ultra-generic "Red's Best of 2011"?
As you can see in the thread title, I've made my decision. Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to the 2011 installment of...
...wait! That's not "Red's Best of 2011"! That's not "Red's Best of 2011" at all!
That's right, thanks to that quick thinking by Athens, the Year-End Crazy Ambition lives on for at least one more year! Here's a look at the current schedule of YECA events:
1) Top Twenty Music Videos of 2011
2) Top Ten YouTube Videos of 2011
3) Top Ten Songs From the Years 2006-2010
4) Top Ten Video Games of 2011
5) Top Ten Worst Songs of 2011
6) Top Thirty Non-Singles of 2011
7) Top Fifteen Albums of 2011
8) Top 100 Singles of 2011
And it all starts with my annual look at my favorite music videos of the year. This year's expanded top 20 music videos of the year countdown will begin later today, so stay tuned!
