ATRL's Deal or No Deal | Speezy Slays a BiT!
Welcome ATRLers, to Deal or No Deal! As you may have guessed, this game will be follow the format of the actual show - which if you've never heard of, can be read about here or you can even watch a bit of the action here.
This game is mainly about luck, but also involves a little bit of strategy, thinking, and of course, timing. As I've stated earlier, this game will be executed in the same exact manner as the actual television show (examples linked above). The game starts off with twenty-six cases, all filled with different amounts between 1¢ and $1,000,000 (full list here). Before the game starts, all of the cases will be assigned an amount by a third-party (me), so you will have no concrete idea of which case holds which amount. The first thing you will do is select a case to own. This case will be yours throughout the whole game, so it will be taken out of play. The case you would want to pick is the $1,000,000 case. You will then have to select six cases to be taken out of the game. Their amounts will be revealed, so you want to pick the cases you believe has lower amounts to keep the big ones in the game. After the round is over, the banker (me) will present you with an offer to buy your case, meaning walk away from the game. You can either say "Deal", meaning you take that amount and your game ends, or you say “No Deal” and keep going. You would open five cases the next round, then four, then three, and so on and so forth. When you hit one case a round, you keep doing that until there are two cases left. If you make it that far all the way to the end, you will have the option to keep your case or to trade it with the remaining one. After that, the one you choose to possess will be opened and that is the amount you will walk away with.
This game is constructed like the World Cup. There will be a total of sixteen players this season. They will battle out in a tournament style, the format being the Round of Sixteen from the World Cup. The winner will continue to advance, as the loser will be eliminated from the game. This will cause the people advancing to gain a better understanding of the game the next time they play, as well as hopefully do better and make the game more intense. All games will be played live and a schedule will follow up soon. Sign-up today!
