An internet leak of NELLY FURTADO’S new single "Manos Al Aire" (Hands in the Air) has provoked some radio stations in America and Europe to premiere the song earlier than the set release date of June 29
"Manos Al Aire", written by Nelly Furtado, James Bryan and Alex Cuba, and produced by Nelly Furtado and James Bryan, is part of her first all Spanish language album set for release September 29, 2009
The GRAMMY Award-winning artist's fourth studio album and follow-up to the multi-platinum Loose which propelled Furtado to top all global music sales in 2007, Mi Plan represents the realization of Nelly's dream to further her natural musical expression in Spanish following acclaimed collaborations with artists such as Juanes and Calle 13. Nelly has done many successful collaborations with artists all over the world in all different genres, but the collaborations with the Latin artists left her with this huge desire of expressing herself in this language, and that is how this album was born. The album will once again demonstrate Furtado's collaborative abilities, as both a songwriter and co-producer, to work with leading lyricists, producers and guest artists from across the globe in creating uniquely fresh and passionately strong music.
"'Mi Plan' is my first full collection of Spanish-language pop songs," explains Furtado. "The songs explore themes of love and the rhythm of everyday life. The featured special guests will also add a unique touch to the album's sound. And I am delighted to be working with the entire Universal Latin team on this new project".
It sounds dramatic but yeah this song has such an air of peace.
