Did you drop or fail any class in college? If yes did you retake and pass it?
I'm struggling in my Chemistry class... my major is Fashion Merchandising and they required me to take introduction organic chemistry in order to transfer. I feel stupid because i'm the only one who doesn't know anything about chemistry, the rest of the students are majoring in Nursing, Health, Chemistry, Pharmacist, etc...
I've dropped two... one during the drop period, which didn't show on my transcript on all, and once after the drop period, which did show up on my transcript, but didn't affect my GPA at all.
About the one I dropped late: it was for a class that I was unsure about from the getgo because I had heard the teacher was strict & graded really harshly. I had gotten really unlucky with scheduling. Anyway, I never liked her or the class, but I figured I would pull through for the first three weeks. The class got worse and worse each time and by the 4th week, I made the decision to drop and take the same class next semester with a different teacher.
Needless to say, I am currently retaking the class with another teacher and it's 100x better. I definitely made the right decision, I just wish I had made it way earlier.
About the one I dropped on time: I signed up for this other class to get a gen-Ed credit and I only went to one lecture. It was awful and there was a quiz every single lecture where you would have no idea what you'd be tested on besides "current events". The class was too open-ended and not structured enough for my liking.
I swap classes around all the time in the beginning of semesters if I know the teacher is going to be a pain in the ass, and get my schedule all worked out after the second week. It has worked for me, as I have never received a C or lower in any class, and have a 3.7
Wtf are they making you taking Orgo when you're a Fashion Merchandising Major OMG Good luck to you sis Orgo is a tough class but I survived it. Anyways no I haven't failed or dropped any classes ,but I thought about Dropping orgo 2 after the 2nd exam XD Lowest grade i ever got was a C+ so far
