I mean, some people take two seats and others have to remain unseated because of them. A problem that has been discussed by major news agencies like Reuters and NYT, but what atrl thinks. Should a fair policy be applied or not.
An interesting take on the problem:
Airlines have every right to charge more based on weight. Same reason they charge now for more luggage. The heavier the plane the more gas needed. It’s not fair to make a 120 lb person pay for the 300lb person’s gas usage. It shouldn’t matter even if they can fit in one seat. It can only have positive consequences for everyone.

No, in public transportation you pay for the transportation itself not the seat.
As for the plane thing, also no. I don't think the difference in gas usage between a 120 lb and a 300lb person is significant.

idgi. How? The only scenario is the case when I am flying alone and there are no people seated to the next two seats next to me. That doesn't mean taking seats. If there is no one, using them doesn't hurts anyone's comfort.

Right! I am shocked sometimes, when fat people act all angry and as if I am disrespectful for not giving them the seat. It's not my fault that you're sweating and need a seat. I will immediately give the seat to an elderly or disabled person but not to them. No privileges for personal choices
