Losing the pound as their currency, not being part of the EU (at least for the first few years), very uncharted territory for the first few months/years as an independent nation in terms of setting its own rates of taxation, attracting foreign investment and balancing its budget as a result (which is irreversible, this referendum won't happen again in our lifetimes no matter what the outcome), has to compete with better educated & better equipped markets for foreign investment like Ireland, closed off from English institutions/opportunities (universities, possibly the job market without a visa in years to come)....
It's an important decision, and yeah Scotland would function independently no question, but the question is what's best for Scotland and its citizens, whereas the yes campaign tend to push the "vote yes or you aren't patriotic" line.
