Capital punishment, the death penalty, or execution is the killing of a person by judicial process as a punishment for an offense. Crimes that can result in a death penalty are known as capital crimes or capital offences. The term capital originates from Latin capitalis, literally "regarding the head" (Latin caput). Hence, a capital crime was originally one punished by the severing of the head.
What do you think of death penalty? Should it be legalized? Do you support it?
I have a divided opinion on this one. In my opinion, some people just doesn't deserve to live, such as the people who commit crimes like murder or rape. Their actions leaves mark on everybody near to that person and even his own life. In cases like rape, what happened might leave a deep emotional impact on the person and change his way of life completely.
But then again, if you are executing a person because of his action, that way you are spreading hate too, right? So you're back to the start. Oh, what happened to the world
I believe in forgiveness, it's the basis of my religion. Even if you committed a crime that was totally disgusting and ruined so many people's lives, you should only get life. Everyone deserves a second chance. Everyone can change.
Personally, I have a cousin who was kidnapped AND murdered 2 years ago and the person who committed the crime is going to be killed. I have no problem with it because hes been tortured these 2 years and Malaysias death penalty involves pain so im happy about it.

Yea, they live in Malaysia and we live in Canada so it was especially hard for us because my dads brother and his other sister were at my aunts house and we only got called once a day. It lasted for about a week and they already payed the 15 000 Malaysian ransom (threw it out of a train) but they found his body 2 days later and he was almost unrecognizable.
I think before the incident I was more 50/50 but seeing how many people it affected just made me realize how horrific the crime really is and how much pain the kidnapper deserves to feel.

Navin I'm sorry to hear that Are the reasons known why he kidnapped him?
This is one of the reasons why I'm with dead penalty. What he did will probably effect the victim family and your family to the rest of your lives, which is very sad and a horrible experience Wish you all the best.
No. Because in this ridiculous judicial system, innocent people are easily convicted for crimes they didn't commit. If by leaving the real criminals alive and rotting in prison we can save the life of just one innocent person, repealing the death penalty is worth it.
