Why is it that so many people on ATRL don't give Christina credit?
5 Grammys, 9 top 10 singles (5 #1 singles) in the US, Over 50 million albums sold, Only 2 albums that have sold less than 4.5 million copies, An amazing voice with a 4 octave vocal range, absolute beauty, etc.
I know 2 flops in a row isn't a good thing, but that doesn't take away her accomplishments So my question is, why doesn't ATRL give Xtina credit?
Because when she was actually successful, she was overshadowed. Now she's just a features artist. I mean, her accomplishments are still good, but I don't think she's that memorable of an artist.
I'm not 100% sure, but one thing I will say is that ATRL tends to stan for success rather than talent, which won't do Christina much good because her last three big hit singles were all features ("Say Something", "Feel This Moment", and "Moves Like Jagger") and her last two albums flopped. A lot of ATRL members obviously wouldn't be here for someone like that. I'm not a stan myself, I find her a bit irritating and self-centered as a person, but her voice is unbelievable and she is so talented, so it's a shame to see that some of the artists ATRLers are stanning for right now are talentless when Christina has one of the best voices in FOREVER.
I actually feel like she has been overrated recently. People act like Feel This Moment and Say Something are her songs, even though she is a feature act. Britney and Gaga have gotten a lot more flack for having one flop album compared to how much flack Christina got for two flop albums. It seems like she got off pretty easy, especially with Lotus.
I do think that some of her old material (especially Back to Basics) is underrated.

Because the majority of ATRL stans for success. As a single artist, she's been struggling lately, so people refuse to give her any credibility as an artist just a bunch of stale shade

If that's the case then everybody else was overshadowed too because Xtina used to be huge, how many Pop Girls have sold more than 50 million albums?
Apparently 46 million albums sold, multiple top ten hits all around the world, four (five) Grammys and other awards, being recognized as one of the best voices ever, and having influenced multiple singers (specially vocal wise) all around the world for more than a decade is not enough. They say she's always been overshadowed, so only the accomplishments of those who were "at the absolute top" for an specific time are then only ones that count? She's no longer successful, I wasn't aware your accomplishment mean nothing the minute you stop having commercial success.
What's funny it's that only the gay men obsessed with stanning are the ones that seem to constantly underestimate her career and what she's achieved. She gets praise and recognition from the GP and industry legends/peers. I wonder what they will think once the acts they stan for will struggle commercially wise cause most of them are talentless. It'll be a hilarious escenario for sure.
Because of the stans who listened to pop music back in the early 2000's are Britney stans, and the ones who listen to pop music now only know her as a featured artist with two flops albums.
So my question is, why doesn't ATRL give Xtina credit?
