Smash Bros Slaying. This made me cackle though:

I'm really worried people think the Wii U is the same as the Wii. Just a different controller

300 people were lining up to pre-order/play the demo for SSB and most people pre-ordered the game, but yet only 1 person was recorded to have actually bought a Wii U.
And I doubt everyone that went actually has a Wii U.

I feel like if Nintendo hadn't have used Wii in the title of this, that the Wii U would be at least 2 million more than what it's at

Best Buy had a demo for the game. The game is not out yet (and pre-orders have been up for a while).

No, I'm saying people probably lined up to check the game out, only to find it's not for the right console.

I mean who in their right mind would line up for hours, to play the demo/pre-order and then not pre-order when it's cheaper than what the retail price would be.

They said they had 300 people line up in just one store and 100 Best Buy's were holding the event. Yet only "dozens" of people actually pre-ordered the game, and one person bought a Wii U.

Why would you line up for so long to play one level if you didn't want to pre-order it? So my assumption is people lined up thinking it was for the Wii and not knowing the Wii U is a different console.

That's my only explantation as to why someone would line-up for hours on end and then not pre-order the game

Saying that though, Smash Bros 3DS is slaying on pre-orders at #48. Higher than most games announced at E3.

The Wii U version though seems to be stalling. Yet it looks better.

1. There is no chance in hell that Smash fans who are going to show up at an E3 related event don't know that it is on the Wii-U. You just being a jackass.

2. The game has been on pre order for months now. These are smash fans. Chances are they have already pre ordered it.

You say I don't get my facts right. This isn't an E3 related event. It just coincides with it.

All you had to do was be at Best Buy on the weekend and you could line up to pre-order and play play the demo.

So no. People who lined up at Best Buy over the weekend when they heard something going on, might not have known. The public were welcome to play the game as well.

Nintendo set it up to coincide with E3. I am not sure what your definition of "related" is, but I am pretty sure it applies in this case.

Related means that E3 have something to do with it, or it only happens due to E3.

The event is for Best Buy and Nintendo. They just choose to have it during E3 period to get the most exposure.

If they are having it to get exposure FROM E3 means it is related to E3. If not directly, still tangentially. Either way it is related.

I hate Nintendo hardware, I love the software. The fact the Wii U can't even produce PS3 quality graphics is sad. So yeah, I'm not here for that.

But Nintendo make great games, and apart from the Mario spin off's the games slayed. But imo Nintendo didn't win E3 because only people who already owned a Wii U bought the games.
The Wii U only made it to #60, whereas PS TV and PS4 both made it top 10.

E3 is supposed to encourage new gamers. Nintendo only encouraged people who already own the console to buy the exclusives.

I'm bringing up the argument that I think the Wii U has branding issues and is why the Wii U and the Wii U version of Super Smash is nowhere near as strong in sales.
Parents (since the console is aimed at kids mostly) might confuse the Wii U with the Wii and think they already have it. Not to mention the Wii was redesigned to look more like a Wii U.

Which is why I think the Wii U is flopping due to branding, not because the console is ****. (I do think the console isn't up to scratch but Nintendo know this which is why its selling for much less). Same happened with the Wii.
