Ty Segall - Twins
Ty Segall has been very busy this year, and a very rewarding one at that. He's released three albums--all of which will find a place somewhere on this list--but Twins is probably the centerpiece of all his music. Not his best per se, but it sums up everything he's done so far. Intense, contemporary garage rock smashed into 70s punk and psychedelic. Not quite as far on the spectrum as his noisy Slaughterhouse or easy-listening Hair, {comparatively to the rest of his music) but still excellent. I'd recommend this album to anybody who wants to start with his already massive discography.
