Yo peeps! It's that time of year again!!! Time when we review the best artists, albums, songs, videos and all that fun stuff and of the not so good as well. I will also be doing my BNAs as well sometime soon. Here's the things I will be covering:
Top Songs/Videos of 2011
Artists/Songs I'm Not Here For
I may add some things here and there when I feel the need to do so. The first update will come later tonight so watch for it.
While I'm waiting for banner let's review some honorable mentions that didn't make my top 40 countdown:
Beyoncé "1+1"
It's a great song and a great video but something about it just doesn't keep my interest (don't kill me fellow Beyhive members). Nonetheless it is one of the best songs off 4 and deserves an honorable mention.
Beyoncé "Run The World (Girls)"
A grower song and a great video but I don't think it was a strong way to start out the era nor is it one of her best.
Beyoncé "Countdown"
A good song and great video but again while I love this it's not my favorite from her but it's definitely one of the highlights from 4.
Brad Paisley and Carrie Underwood "Remind Me"
A good song and video but I feel that Brad and Carrie can do much better.
Britney Spears "Till The World Ends"
One of the catchiest songs of the year but I still find it disappointing that Britney had to ask Ke$ha to write a catchy dance song for a fast hit for her.
Britney Spears "Criminal"
One of the best songs and videos from Britney from away but it grows off you quickly.
Bruno Mars "It Will Rain"
It's a cute song but not one of his best either.
David Guetta f/ Usher "Without You"
It's ok but nothing special.
deadmau 5 f/ Greta Svabo Bech "Raise Your Weapon"
I like the beat but the rest is meh to me.
Foo Fighters "Rope"
A decent rock song.
Jay-Z and Kanye West "Otis"
It's a good song and video but far from their best work.
Jennifer Lopez f/ Pitbull "On The Floor"
A fun dance song and video but very basic overall.
Katy Perry f/ Kanye West "E.T."
A good song and video but the video is quite a cool yet sad attempt to seem edgy.
LMFAO "Party Rock Anthem"
Fun dance song but gets annoying after awhile.
OneRepublic "Good Life"
Good song but it grows off fast.
Rihanna "We Found Love"
The video and beat are really the only saviour about this song. I do like but it's far from Rihanna's best work.
Swedish House Mafia "Save The World"
Great beat. That is all really.
Tony Bennett and Lady GaGa "The Lady Is A Tramp"
Great song and GaGa sounds great on it but her wearing that horrid teal wig in the video spelled the end of it for me.
