Miley Cyrus is currently in Miami recording her new album. You can read an update including what the album will sound like below.

Miley was on her way to the recording studio in Miami Beach on May 15th. A fan, Emily, got to meet Miley outside her Miami hotel. Emily also got to talk to Miley’s new manager, Bruce, he said that “Miley is working with top producers, and she will be huge.” Bruce said that she is doing a more Katy Perry/Rihanna sound. But better. He also said that “he is making Miley’s dreams come true, and they are focusing on music and touring“!

Even though her dad, Billy Ray Cyrus, is country music star, Miley Cyrus says she isn’t a fan of country. Guess she’s not in Nashville anymore? Miley says that country music makes her “nervous” and that she would never dip into the country music genre because she finds it “contrived” and superficial. Miley says, “unless you’re wearing a cowboy hat and cowboy boots and singing and whining about your girlfriend or boyfriend leaving you it’s not going to sell.” She reports that she finds wearing “those cowboy boots” and being “sweet as pie” to be too nerve-racking. Billy Ray, meanwhile, doesn’t appear to find the music so contrived and meaningless as he continues to put out country albums.
