Well, another year's passed and here I am, trying to get one of those Best of's finished. I swore I just didn't have the time to do one this year, but the countdowns & graphics maniac in me couldn't let the year go without it, so here I am!

I'll try to keep it short and simple for you, and this year it's all about the music! I don't want to get too ambitious with the categories I want to present cause I know myself too well and the chance I won't even finish these is big, but I'll try my best!

Kicking things off, it's Miley Cyrus and her Dead Petz. What a wacky album. I was never really such a big fan of Miley, but I've got to admit that I was surprised with this one (like, who wasn't). It's minimalistic, different, experimental and a big **** you to the whole industry. And like it or not, you got to admire such a bold move. It's my favourite album to listen to when high and for some reason it brings the taste of weed in my mouth. So job well done, Miley!

Number 19 goes to Coldplay and their "A Head Full Of Dreams"! Now, for any Coldplay fan it is clear that this one was not as good as their previous albums, many of which are classics. Probably not a very popular opinion around here, but I think Ghost Stories was amazing, so my expectations for this one were quite high and it disappointed me a bit. There are some good songs on it, but I know that they can do much better and I'm just praying that this isn't their last album, so they could redeem themselves in terms of quality by Coldplay standards.

Next up, it's Kendrick Lamar's "To Pimp a Buttefly". This is not usually my cup of tea, I'm not going to lie, but after all the buzz it created and all the critics raving about it I decided to give it a go and it turned out to be great indeed. I love Alright, it is one of my favourite tracks this year and the video is just incredible. As for the album, I love how well it goes together to tell this complex story of racism, injustice, and life itself - the lyrics are just a masterpiece. Truly a great record for hip-hop and it feels like a major milestone that is only bound to influence the genre in the future.

Honeymoon | Terrence Loves You | Freak | Art Deco | The Blackest Day

Number 17 this year goes to "Honeymoon" by Lana Del Rey. I love some good Lana songs every now and then, and I feel like Honeymoon was a step in the right direction for her. I LOVED Born to Die when it first came out, but since I've felt like her efforts have been falling a bit short for me. Honeymoon was much better than Ultraviolence for me, but I'm still waiting for the album that will top Born to Die in my books.

Last for this update, it's the brilliant Lianne La Havas with her second LP "Blood". I just adore Lianne's voice, it's so smooth and sultry, I could listen to her sing all day. While her first album was better in my opinion, Blood is still a very solid record. I was a bit on the fence with her choice of singles and they made me worry that this album won't be as good before it came out, but I love nearly all of the songs now. My only problem with it is that it feels a little too short.
