When did britney become a legend?
It's generally accepted that britney spears is a legend.
But at what point did she go from pop icon to pop legend. When?

In 2008 she cemented her status with Circus going number 1,Womanizer went N1 and the single N3.No one expected it after a few months earlier media reported she made a suicide attempt.

She is not a legend. How can you call her a legend when she released an "album" like Britney Jean...

Circus era, it was largely successful and proved that she could bounce back from 2007.

I voted Circus era because I remember she was hospitalized in that same year and went through so many stuff and at the end it was a huge comeback.
Not people saying she is not a legend
