This one kid senior year, he mixed drugs with something and died in his sleep. He still got a diploma at graduation.
Also, although I wasn't in high school, a kid committed suicide this year because he was bullied for being gay. He left a long suicide note telling everyone to let this be their lesson to stop the bullying and step in to help

During my senior year of high school, these kids released an armadillo in the cafeteria as a senior prank and it bit one of the students and they got a really bad infection from the bite.
This girl in the year above me (when I was in year 10) died due to 'sudden unexpected death syndrome'. It happened out of nowhere and everybody was grieving talking about it for ages.
Also a very loved teacher of ours died of cancer the year after. We all helped fund special mobility equipment for him after he had his leg amputated so he could get around the school easier because he loved being around us so much but not long after his return he died . Even now the elevator is still there in memory of him.

There was a girl I pretty well who died during my freshman year in a fire I think. She went to my house once when we were in middle school. It was so sad!
