Billboard: Christina Aguilera's 'Bionic' Tops U.K. Chart

Christina Aguilera won her second U.K. No. 1 album and the British singles chart was overrun by soccer-related releases, as the Official Charts Company's latest sales data was unveiled.

Aguilera's "Bionic" (RCA/Sony Music Entertainment) is her second consecutive studio album to debut at the top, after "Back To Basics" in 2006. The 2008 compilation "Keeps Gettin' Better" peaked at No. 10. "Bionic" outran fellow Sony act Alicia Keys' "The Element of Freedom" (J), which climbed back 5-2 in its 26th chart week. Keys was among the performers at the televised World Cup Kick-Off Concert in South Africa on June 10.

Michael Bublé's "Crazy Love" (Reprise/Warner Music) and "'Glee' The Music Vol. 3 Showstoppers" (Epic/Sony Music Entertainment) each fell a place, to Nos. 3 and 4 respectively, while Lady Gaga's "The Fame" (Interscope/Universal) moved back 4-5. Last week's No. 1, Jack Johnson's "To The Sea" (Brushfire/Universal Island), fell to No. 6.

She sold 24,300 copies.
The 2nd lowest sales for a #1 album this year next to Lady GaGa's 25,211 copies for "The Fame Monster" this year as well.

And they are both one of the lowest sales for a UK #1 ever and maybe the lowest, and every #1 album last decade sold more.

it's good for chrisitna, i'm glad she got number one somewhere, but its depressing how that lower sales got to number one.

Britney doesn't even have a #1 in the UK.

You are not in the position to come for Britney's wig.

Circus probably sold more in the first week in the US alone than Bionic is gonna sell WW in it's first week and probably Britney's first week WW will be higher than Bionic overall sales in a month away .

TFM has sold over 2 million copies though, you can't really compare the sales. Christina's sales were first week sales.

And Britney still doesn't score a single NUMBAH ONE album in the UK. Deal.

And Christina is a flop right now, DEAL .

Actually she's a flop since KGB era .

I guess in the end it should be celebrated that she did sell more than any other album in the UK last week

But I personally find her #1 bittersweet

According to United World Chart, The Fame Monster is world's best selling album in 2010.
