Back in February when Beyonce dropped Formation she was everywhere and her presence was insane. But the last few months she kinda disappeared and she just came back with the IVY Park thing, but it feels like weak hype compared to how big she was 2 months ago. The album might come these weeks, so it doesn't really feel that big.

No. Tweets about the album have racked up like 20k RTs. CNN & TIME just did articles asking where the album is. The only other pop girl I remember publications doing articles like that about is Adele.

it's not like she ever used her biggest moments or peaks in presence to release something. Just like with B5, she didn't have much presence and press around December - She had the Superbowl half a year prior to that. So that's fine by me. I actually like it better that way than hyping something up to only release it 7443947 years later

Anyways, when she is surprise releasing and the tour begins in 3 weeks, then there is of course reason to speculate on a release and get your hopes up

She should've just dropped the album right after the Superbowl, she would've opened with 500k easily and destroyed Rihanna at that specific time(I say this as a stan) her presence was insane.

Formation released on urban and a pop single at the same time also would've done well.

DEFINITELY! But then she would have been accused of using Formation and its message to benefit/maximize on album sales, so that's a difficult situation.
