Early on in his career some of the people he dissed reacted really badly to it, and every time people sided with Eminem saying "It's just a joke" and the offended person that he dissed would come off as boring, too serious, etc. I think over the years people have learnt you come off better if you don't say anything about his disses. Nowadays most people say they're honored to be dissed by him lol.
