Since the Azealia thread got off topic, I'll put the discussion here because I thought it was a good one.

Do you want Nicki to dwell further into pop for the next album or go back to her hip-hop roots? Or just like Roman Reloaded?

I personally want 100% hip-hop.

I feel no shame in saying that I need some of Nicki's pop music in my life... something closer to PF would be good to me. Like, not straight mixtape Nicki but not "Automatic" Nicki.

She can't just like abandon it now that she's gotten so far with it... like maybe if the pop did terribly, then she could scrap it... but like the success Starships has had... she can't do 100% hood hip-hop next era.

PFRR is a great album, people to need to realize PFRR was for fun, she had a blast recording the whole album unlike PF were she felt "boxed in"

She'll continue to do what she has been doing. Basically half and half.

I don't the pop tracks are the ones that sell her the maximum amount of albums she could sell otherwise.

!!!!! If PFRR had 0 pop it would get stale to me too fast, thats just my opinion, some really just don't like pop nicki

She has a pop fanbase now. If she wants to keep them, she'll need to give them something on each album.

That's kind of a double-edged sword.

Personally, I think (in order to keep everyone happy) she should do one of the following:

1. Release the next album with a structure similar to PF:RR, but also release a Hip-Hop mixtape.

2. Release a full-blown Hip-Hop album with 2 SB-esque songs, but release a Pop EP six months later.

I'd say hip hop but 90% of her hip hop songs don't bring the fire the same way her features do.

We all know she's going to do full pop on the next album and will keep trying to make a Super Bass part 3 now

Honestly I don't think she will last that long in the pop game since she seems to be struggling with her musical identity

Another Super Bass-esque song is inevitable so anyone hoping for an album that is strictly hip-hop, will be disappointed. However, I do think she'll drop the euro-dance tracks. Hopefully I do believe the album will be predominantly hip-hop though ala BMUS

I don't care what she does, tbqfh. But if she does keep it more Pop, she needs to start labeling herself as a popstar as well instead of just a female rapper. That kind of annoys me.

As long as I still get hiphop, I dont care what she does. She does NOT need to be one dimensional/boxed in.

She has two audiences now, and she can not cater to just one anymore.

I didn't mean it in a shady way I'm just saying most of her success IS from her pop fans. But the girl has all these ppl saying she can't rap so I think she should just put out a full album of rap and keep the pop **** at a minimum.

I know she'd be okay. It's obvious she would. But then she'd probably want to go back to them later down the line and it'd get messy.
