It's Gail Mitchell; just left low-key, informal track listening session at LA's Record Plant for Chris Brown,s upcoming album.
Chris Breezy's "F.A.M.E + Fortune" album coming in the spring.
Chris hosted the event; manager Tina Davis on hand as well. Also spotted: new "American Idol" music director Ray Chew.
But there's a lot to like on CB's album. He draws from his R+B roots but also doing a lot of fusion with house and dub.
Since final track list not done, label and mgmt wan to stay mum on details just yet.
CB played full songs, other works in progress for about 90 minutes, including leaked tracks "Look at Me Now," "Beautiful People"
Also of course hip-hop and dance; also raps and throws in tribal beats on one
Chris ended by saying it's "been a journey for me. Appreciate you all coming. I'm just doing my own thing musically."

Song w/Wiz is fire! I don't know who wrote the track and Chris didn't say in his intro. Will find out.

I just want him to stop with the over-prolific single releasing. Between his like 8 mixtapes over the last year or so; singles Deuces, Yeah3x, Look At Me Now, Beautiful People; all of his features; rumors of songs with Bieber, Wiz and rumored singles like Calypso...this is all too much. I know he is trying to do the whole Breezy Takeover but he isnt Rihanna/Beyonce who are so widely liked that they can release as much as possible and people will eat it up.
^Um....but people ARE eating it up. And this has all been over the course of a year.
This is called buzz. He probably won't have the option of being on every morning show performing or getting the kind of promo people like Rihanna/Beyonce will get. So this is the best way for him to get exposure mainstream media may deny him. Some things I could have done without (releasing Get Back Up as a single w/ that horrid video and this new recycled song w/ Plies) but overall it has all kept him relevant and built up anticipation.
. A hit. Period.
