Two years ago today, Lady Gaga released her fourth album, ARTPOP. Described as a "reverse Warholian expedition" in a mission statement, ARTPOP sought to bring art culture and its aesthetics, themes, and ideals into pop culture. Although it marked a commercial decline from Gaga's norm, it was still a successful era, garnering Gaga two worldwide hits, selling over two million copies worldwide, and spawning a tour that grossed almost $90,000,000. It's also led to a plethora of phrases iconic in the stan community. Celebrate the second birthday of what Gaga once satirically (but incidentally correctly) called "THE ALBUM OF THE MILLENNIUM" here!
Ugh this album was everything to me when she released . Easily her best album her only album I can listen to straight through without skipping (even though MJH is trash) ...
The best moment is the G.U.Y. bridge. Followed by the whole of Aura (esp. the outro), Applause's bridge, MANiCURE's bridge, the last Do What U Want chorus, Sexxx Dream's chorus...urgh. So many great moments.
