It's an homage to MTV's Daria, a very sarcastic, cynical show that was probably one of the best portrayals of high school life in an animated show ever. And the art was just iconic. They had whole segments on "Sick Sad World" that kind of parodied sensational journalism and apparently Azealia loved those sections. She wanted the artwork to be some "Daria Sick Sad World" ****.
