Very homophobic as nearly everyone is Roman Catholic, but people are learning to tolerate.

The U.S. is very divided. Kinda hard to sum it up. More and more states are starting to legalize same-sex marriage though.

We hate gays, and they'll never be accepted, only tolerated. So wrong.

I don't really know about Belgium but I'm 100% certain they aren't homophobic. But I came from the Netherlands and I can tell that they aren't either. They have the yearly gay parade, gay nights at the movie theater where they show gay movies, they allow same-sex marriages and that's just an excerpt it's just a normal thing in there. Of course you still have people that are against it but you are always going to have that.

As a country, we're slowly but surely getting less homophobic, but it's pretty rife with it at the moment. We have people like Rick Santorum that have a serious chance to become President, and even the Democrat President is unsure what his stance on gay marriage is. Still, more states are starting to legalize gay marriage, so it's kind of a mixed bag.

As a state, Florida is terrible. We have a member of the Tea Party as our governor.

For the record, Sweden and Belgium have been placed on top of many 'Top 10 Gay Friendly Countries' polls.

The BNP (British National Party) is highly homophobic and racist. It was the 17th most popular political party in the UK last year.
