I agree,
OneRepublic sings the damn song and they already had it out before they met Timbaland so I don't see why they're the featured artists.

because the song was a flop before Timbaland remixed it, put it on his album and released it as a single

don't start this because we both know Timbaland got the song and OneRepublic famous

Nothing but tea right there, nothing but tea.
It's just as stupid as David Guetta's style of doing it. It's a money tactic, an unfair one at that.

That's a completely different situation
One Republic released the song in 2006, never became a hit.
Timbaland made the song the hit it is today. Now I'm not trying to discredit Ryan for the writing and original production but you people are discrediting Timbaland for the success he brought to both the song and One Republic.
And since the single that has sold 5+ million copies is the one featured on Timbaland's album, it should be labeled Timbaland feat. One Republic. They are fine with it, I don't see why you guys aren't!!

ummmm. No. First, the remix was supposed to be released as One Republic first single off their album, but was released as Timbaland's fifth single instead (Ryan was under Tim's label so he ddn't have any saying in this).
Second, they were never fine with it, well, at least One Republic weren't, they've been all over interviews, television, saying that's iti's ridiculous for some people to think that Timbaland actually sing the song and don't give the band the credit they deserve. They never expect thing to happen like that and will make sure it will never again.

Well get that 5x platinum hit Cee-Lo.
It was the funniest thing seeing some of yall pressed when it would not die
This proves chart peak doesn't equal sales.
#2 Song < 5 million copies sold

My problem with that is usually they have no other choice. It's either they just record the song which usually takes barely any time at all and get paid. They could fight for the song all day if they wanted but they'd never get it. So barely any time at all out of their day to record that song and get money, or walk out with no money? Of course you're gonna take it. Does it make it fair for the artist? No.
