Both had their biggest eras and hits when these guys executive produced their debut albums but have been struggling recently to replicate that impact and spark from when they first came out.

These are recent articles of them talking about this.
Usually when Cassie gets asked about it she says she'd love to work with Ryan again too, (but also wanted to have more creative input, selecting people to work with her etc) however she still shows him her music or whatever but then because of schedules or whatever it never happens.
Idk what Ciara says but I guess it's probably similar "excuses".
Why were they/their labels even so fast to dismiss them in the first place and work with other producers?
Both of these duos haven't worked together since 2006/07.
These producers are arguable the ones that know how to work and bring out the best in them as far as public attention goes.
I know the type of the music they came out with probably doesn't fit so well in today's industry but maybe that would be a good thing for them actually since they don't seem to be doing that great with today's sound commercially and it would set them apart and bring something good they once had back, right?
