Seriously no shade, because it's still a huge hit regardless, and I'm sure it'll pick up again, but I can't remember the last time a single fell 55% in its second week. Any other examples?
I can't think of any. If it weren't for her devoted fanbase's enthusiasm for buying and gifting it in the first week, I'm sure it would've had a normal drop.
Grenade, Black & Yellow and What's My Name? With the Steelers making it to the Superbowl, expect Black & Yellow to hit #1 on the Hot 100 soon.
DEAD at people shocked 'HIAM' dropped over 50%. This time of the year doesn't see sales numbers as big as in October-December, her 1st week was HUGE and front-loaded by all the fans buying it, anyone with MINIMAL sense would expect it to drop at least 50%, especially considering there is ZERO promo for the song aside from the growing airplay.
186k? Not bad, could be better. I'm optimistic with radio airplay increasing more and more everyday, and HIAM music video release will give it a boost that we are looking for. The song has stabilized on the iTunes chart, hopefully it can hang in there for when the promo tour begins.
