She was supposed to record the album under Interscope in the US until she decided to just record the album in Sweden because she doesn't feel at home in the US.
Can't wait for the album, she recently worked with Cutfather. I also heard that "This Love Will Survive" form Alexandra Burke's new album was originally meant for Agnes.
One Last Time>Don't Go Breaking My Heart. Glad that it didn't made the album, never really liked it. I hope the album's as good as Dance Love Pop which is pure pop perfection. Can't wait for this release! Agnes is amazing.
I hate looking forward to a a new record as sometimes it ends up a big let down. Th output so far has been good. One Last Time is a gorgeous ballad and probably the first I have enjoyed. The songs released in her early days were boring and suited to a 70 year old. Don't Go Breaking My Heart is being called an intermediary single. I hope it is included on the tracklist if not it will be included on my version as part of Veritas.
At the moment there isn't much info on what kind of songs to expect. I googled the meaning behind the word Veritas hoping it will offer more clues to the direction and creative inspiration behind it...
Quote:
In Roman mythology, Veritas, meaning truth, was the goddess of truth, a daughter of Saturn and the mother of Virtue. It was believed that she hid in the bottom of a holy well because she was so elusive. Her image is shown as a young virgin dressed in white. Veritas is also the name given to the Roman virtue of truthfulness, which was considered one of the main virtues any good Roman should possess.
This Latin word "veritas" now appears in the mottos of many colleges and universities. It is typically capitalized in mottos (as "Veritas") for being an ideal (such as: Truth, Kindness and Beauty).
Agnes could of followed the Dance Love Pop theme and called it Truth Kindness Beauty The album cover is interesting with an emphasis on her mouth. The face shot alone might have worked better as it looks quite striking.
Dance Love Pop is one of my top 5 female Dance albums, along with Sophie Ellis Bexter's Make a Scene, September's debut and follow up Orbit.
I am hoping there is another epic Release Me, or more summery dance beats found on Love Me Senseless. Open Up Your Eyes, and Look At Me. Agnes has said that she is more personally involved with this record.
