1% of the winners amount to something in the music industry. The other 99% doesn't amount to anything in the music industry. Kelly Clarkson is the only one from AI who won and is still relevant? All the past winners/runner ups of all these shows are no where in the top 200 iTunes or Billboard Hot 100 (except the relatively new winners like Phillip Phillip who will lose relevance by the end of this year  )

Not to mention the other platinum albums by AIs. Daughtry sold millions. Even Scotty's album, one of the most recent winners, sold over a million with his debut album. The other shows can't be compared until their US versions produce a succesful star.
And oh yeah, they're doing too much. Let the show speak for itself and let the public decide.
